Jeannette is the practice owner and a Registered Psychologist with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP). Jeannette is a graduate from Acadia University, class of 2002, specializing in clinical psychology. Previous experience has been in both the public and private sectors. She is a member of the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia (past executive member). Specialized training includes certification in EMDR Therapy, Intensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) training, iRest® Yoga Nidra certification, Level 1 Warriors at Ease, and 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Completed May 2022.

Mallory V. Powell, M.A.S.P., Registered Psychologist

Mallory Powell is a Registered Psychologist completing her Master Degree in School Psychology in 2011. She is a member of the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia (APNS) specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing a variety of learning, mental health, and behavioral challenges.
Mallory has extensive experience in Psycho-Educational Assessments from her time working in school settings. She has gained comprehensive training directly working with children, adolescents, their families, and school personnel in psychotherapy, intervention, and consultation. Mallory is also bilingual and can offer academic assessments in French as part of a comprehensive educational assessment.
Mallory’s therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness techniques; however, with all clients, treatment is tailored to meet each person’s specific needs. Above all else, a strong rapport and alliance between herself and the client is the most important factor in growth and success. She builds this rapport through trust, authenticity, and honesty.

Jennifer Decker, M.A., Registered Psychologist

Jennifer Decker is a Registered Psychologist and current member of the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia. She obtained a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology in 2012 from Trinity Western University. Jennifer specializes in the treatment of adolescents and adults experiencing mental health and behavioural challenges.
Jennifer has experience working with complex trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, relationship difficulties, and parenting concerns. She has specialized training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and uses cognitive behavioural and mindfulness-based approaches in therapy. Creating a sense of safety in therapy is her first priority.

Allison Harris, M.Sc., Psychologist (Candidate Register)
Allison Harris is a Psychologist (Candidate Register) with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP) and a member of the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia (APNS). She completed her undergraduate education at Mount Allison University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours in Psychology), and subsequently graduated with a Master of Science Degree with a specialization in Clinical Psychology from Acadia University.
Allison has experience working in both public and private mental health settings, completing her clinical training through the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) and SOAR Psychological Services. During her training she provided individual and group therapy to adolescent and adult clients, presenting with a variety of concerns such as complex trauma, PTSD, emotion dysregulation, self-harm, depression, stress, and behavioral difficulties. Allison’s approach to therapy is client-centred and emphasizes safety, trust, and collaboration. She has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and draws from other therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness to meet the individual needs of her clients. Emily Lane, MSW, Registered Social Worker
Emily completed her Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2008.
Since then, she has worked in community-based Mental Health and Addictions with NSH and in private practice. Emily provides psychological treatment for adults experiencing a range of difficulties including PTSD, mood and anxiety-related disorders (e.g., generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, and panic), OCD, insomnia, chronic emotion dysregulation and self- harm. Emily is committed to providing evidence-based treatment and has intensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She has specialized trainings in treatments for PTSD including Prolonged Exposure (PE), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy- Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Emily is CACBT certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Emily’s approach to treatment is based on building a strong therapeutic relationship, developing a shared understanding of the client’s challenges and supporting clients to develop skills to achieve their goals. Marian Farrell, MSW, Registered Social Worker
Marian is a Social Worker who is a registered member of the Nova Scotia College of Social Work.
Marian graduated from Dalhousie University with a Masters in Social Work in 2020, she has been working with clients in not-for -profit and government settings since 1998. Marian is trained in EMDR Therapy, Intensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for insomnia and uses behavioural, cognitive and mindfulness based approaches in treatment. She provides trauma informed therapy to youth (ages 13 and older) and adults, and is experienced in complex trauma, PTSD, addictions, depression, anxiety, self-harm, work-life balance, conflict resolution, emotion regulation skill development and family relationships. Marian believes life is a journey and it is the things that happen along the way that influence our daily experience, she works with clients to understand their journey and shape their future.
