While working as a federal Correctional Officer, Jeannette went back to school to pursue her graduate degree. She completed extensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and was National Trainer for front-line correctional staff across Canada. Jeannette’s specialized training is trauma focused and includes certification in EMDR Therapy, iRest® Yoga Nidra certification, Level 1 Warriors at Ease, 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.
Currently, she is immersing herself in various Internal Family Systems (IFS) training, which honors our inner wisdom and resiliency. Her approach integrates a blend of scientific rigor and empathetic care, embodying the essence of The Art of Science. Jeannette’s commitment to personal and professional growth and her passion for helping others form the cornerstone of our therapeutic services.
Jeannette gives back by being a volunteer at her local Community Centre, chairing a committee, and has offered iRest® Yoga Nidra. She is also an active volunteer committee member of the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia, where she served on the Executive and was President in 2020.

Jennifer Decker, M.A., Registered Psychologist
Jennifer Decker is a Registered Psychologist and current member of the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia. She obtained a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology in 2012 from Trinity Western University. Jennifer specializes in the treatment of adolescents and adults experiencing mental health and behavioural challenges.
Jennifer has experience working with complex trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, relationship difficulties, and parenting concerns. She has specialized training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and uses cognitive behavioural and mindfulness-based approaches in therapy. Creating a sense of safety in therapy is her first priority.

Emily Lane, MSW, Registered Social Worker
Emily completed her Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2008.
Since then, she has worked in community-based Mental Health and Addictions with NSH and in private practice. Emily provides psychological treatment for adults experiencing a range of difficulties including PTSD, mood and anxiety-related disorders (e.g., generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, and panic), OCD, insomnia, chronic emotion dysregulation and self- harm. Emily is committed to providing evidence-based treatment and has intensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She has specialized trainings in treatments for PTSD including Prolonged Exposure (PE), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy- Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Emily is CACBT certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Emily’s approach to treatment is based on building a strong therapeutic relationship, developing a shared understanding of the client’s challenges and supporting clients to develop skills to achieve their goals.
